In 1972, Francisco Conte, known as Fran, decided to combine his passion for coffee with the opportunity for a good business. The idea was to create a coffee shop where women could enjoy good coffee in a unique, elegant, and relaxed environment. So, Fran and his brother José Roberto chose a location in downtown Bauru (in the interior of São Paulo state), and thus, the first FRAN'S CAFÉ store was born.

The multiplication of this thriving business was only a matter of time. Shortly after, FRAN'S CAFÉ opened its second store at the local bus station. This time, the novelty was the 24-hour service. After years of absolute success, in 1988, when Fran partnered with José Henrique, FRAN'S CAFÉ established itself in one of the most coveted landmarks of São Paulo: the Edifício Itália, at the time the tallest building in the city. Combining the concept of operating 24 hours a day with high-quality service, quality products, and a cozy atmosphere, FRAN'S CAFÉ won over the people of São Paulo. Because of this, in 1992, the company decided to adopt the franchising system. From there, the successful creation of a network of stores that continues to grow was a leap forward; the network gained momentum for consistent, professional expansion, which gives FRAN'S CAFÉ the merit of being one of the best franchising companies in Brazil today.
